AI Assistant Disclaimer

The Albatross AI assistant is a productivity tool built by Raccoon Labs, LLC (“Raccoon Labs”) for licensed legal professionals. It can draft documents, search your case files, research authority, and help you organize a matter — but it is not a lawyer, and its output is not a substitute for your own professional judgment. Please read the following before relying on anything it produces.

Not legal advice

Nothing the assistant generates constitutes legal advice. All content is provided for informational and drafting-assistance purposes only. Decisions about strategy, filings, advice to clients, and every other aspect of representing a matter remain the exclusive responsibility of a licensed attorney exercising independent professional judgment.

A licensed attorney must review everything

Every document, motion, email, citation, summary, and analysis generated by the assistant must be independently reviewed, verified, and approved by a licensed attorney before it is relied upon, filed with any court, sent to any party, or otherwise used. You — not Raccoon Labs — are solely responsible for all work product and for any action taken based on the assistant’s output. Do not trust the assistant blindly.

AI can be wrong

The assistant is powered by generative AI, which can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or entirely fabricated. This includes the risk of hallucinated authority — case names, citations, statutes, quotations, or holdings that do not exist or do not say what the assistant claims. Always confirm every legal authority against the primary source before citing or relying on it. Do not assume a citation is real or accurate because the assistant provided it.

No attorney–client relationship

Using Albatross does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and Raccoon Labs or its providers, and no communication with the assistant is protected by the attorney–client privilege as against Raccoon Labs.

Your professional responsibilities

You remain bound by the rules of professional conduct of every jurisdiction in which you practice, including your duties of competence, diligence, communication, confidentiality, and candor toward the tribunal. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the assistant — including what client information you provide to it — is consistent with those duties and with your confidentiality and privilege obligations.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The assistant is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raccoon Labs and its providers are not liable for any loss, damage, sanction, or adverse outcome arising from your use of, or reliance on, the assistant’s output.
