Accounts & signing in

Creating an account (/signup)

The signup page ("Create your account" / "Get started with Albatross") asks for:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Confirm password

Click "Create account". If the two passwords don't match, the user sees "Passwords do not match." Depending on configuration, the user may need to verify their email — they'll see a prompt to check their inbox and click the verification link before continuing.

Below the form, if the firm has them configured, the user may also see:

  • "Continue with Google"
  • "Continue with Microsoft"
  • "SSO" (single sign-on — only enabled when a firm has SSO set up for the user's email domain)

After the account exists, users who don't yet belong to a firm go through workspace setup (see Section 3).

Signing in (/login)

The login page asks for Email and Password; the button reads "Sign in". The same Google / Microsoft / SSO options appear if configured.

After signing in:

  • If the user has an active firm, they land in the app.
  • If they don't belong to any firm yet, they're taken to workspace setup.
  • If they arrived from an invitation link, they're taken back to that invitation to accept it.

Signing out

The sign-out link appears in workspace-setup screens ("Signed in as email · Sign out") and in the account area of the app.

Deleting an account

Personal Settings → Profile has a "Delete account" action in a danger zone. This permanently removes the account and its associated data.
